Oregon Dairy Contest

The Dairy Farmers of Oregon is sponsoring a photo contest for Girl Scouts.  The photos are supposed to show a Girl Scout enjoying Oregon dairy products.  Since we have two Girl Scouts in the house, that’s two entries for us!

I really wanted to get a photo with a cow, but we couldn’t arrange it.  So we had to settle for food products.

American Tractor

My Father in law knows tractors like some people know baseball statistics. Here is his well-used but lovingly maintained John Deere model 4020:

Foggy Morning

Yesterday the rain took a break and the fog rolled in.  While everything was still and peaceful I got a shot of this oak tree by an overflowed stream.

Welcome to my new Blog

I gave my site a makeover, and part of that was incorporating the blog into the main site.  So we’re starting from scratch as far as posts go.

I’ll slowly be transferring posts to this new blog, but in the meantime you can still access the old posts here:  Old Blog

First Snow of 2012

The kids have been waiting for a snow day for a while, but the snow taunted them by falling on a weekend.  Better luck next time!
